Connect Ashby to Tendent

Tendent is a skills assessment platform for hiring teams. Tendent creates an assessment for each job, with challenges based on the job description, and checks that candidates did the work themselves. For each candidate, recruiters get a report with a score, strengths and concerns.

With the Ashby integration, Tendent sends the assessment to candidates when they reach an interview stage that you choose in Ashby. When the candidate's report is ready, Tendent adds the result to the candidate in Ashby. Tendent can also move the application to a stage that you choose and save the score in a custom field.

What the integration does

• Imports your open jobs from Ashby, so that you can link them to Tendent jobs.
• Creates a Tendent job from an Ashby job, from the description of its job posting, if you choose to.
• Invites candidates automatically when they reach the invite stage that you choose.
• Lets you invite by hand the candidates who were in the invite stage before you linked the job.
• Sends the result back as a note on the candidate in Ashby.
• Moves the application to a stage that you choose when the result is ready (optional).
• Saves the score in a custom field of the application (optional).

Before you start

• In Ashby, you must be an admin to create the API key.
• In Tendent, you must be an Admin. If you do not see Settings → Integrations in Tendent, contact Tendent support.

Step 1: Create the API key in Ashby

1. In Ashby, go to Admin → Integrations and search for Tendent.
2. On the Tendent tile, select + Create API key for Tendent.
3. Copy the API key. Ashby shows the key one time only.

Ashby gives the key the permissions that Tendent needs (see Permissions below).

Or directly create the API credentials from the Admin → Integrations → API Credentials and select Tendent as the Integration Partner.
